Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh’s Hoshangabad on Monday, Indian hockey lost its four national level players to a road accident. While three other players are injured in the accident, who have been admitted to the nearest private hospital. The condition of one of the injured players is said to be critical.
According to the information received, the car collapsed uncontrollably near Harkangabad-Itarsi on National Highway 69 near Pawarkheda. All these hockey players participated in the ongoing All India Hockey Tournament in Hoshangabad. Police said that the driver had lost control of the car, after which the accident occurred. The car collided with a roadside tree after losing control.
The names of the deceased players are Shahnawaz Khan (Indore), Adarsh Hardua (Itarsi), Ashish Lal (Jabalpur), Aniket (Gwalior). These four hockey players were players of MP Academy Bhopal. In yesterday's match in Hoshangabad, they played with Seoni-Jabalpur.
