Chhattisgarh government held a cabinet meeting on Tuesday night. Minister Ravindra Choubey informed that the major decision that was taken on reservation of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes was amended for public service. 32% reservation has been given to Scheduled Tribes, 13% to Scheduled Castes and 27% percent to Other Backward Classes, it will be implemented by bringing the ordinance. Apart from this, the economically weaker unreserved class will get 10 % reservation. The limits prescribed for the economically weaker section are: -
- Less than 8 lakh annual income
- 5 acres of low agricultural land
- House smaller than 1000 sq. Ft.
- Villagers with houses of 200 yards
Important decisions taken in the field of sports were - Sports Excellence Center will be created through Sports Academy, which will be run through industry and NGOs. Apart from this, the CSR item will also be used, coach sports equipment will also be supplied, the stadium will also be maintained.
