The traditional festival of Chhattisgarh 'Pola-Teeja' is being celebrated with great pomp and gaiety across the state. CM Bhupesh Baghel has worshiped oxen at Pola Tihar with the whole family at his  residence. Pola Tihar, the traditional festival of Chhattisgarh, is a festival related to farming . Pola Tihar of Chhattisgarh is basically a festival related to farming. In view of the importance of cattle and cattle in farming, bulls are specially decorated in villages on this day. They are worshiped. Children play with Nandi bulls and pottery toys made of clay. In all the houses, dishes like khurmi, gur-chila, gulgul bhajiya are prepared and the festival is celebrated. A bull race is also organized on this occasion.

 

The program organized at CM House gave a glimpse of Chhattisgarh culture. Here people were seen dressed in Chhattisgarhi costumes. After joining Pora's program, the Chief Minister also attended the Teeja program organized at his residence. Women have come to the Chief Minister's residence from all over the state to participate in Teeja's program. Here, the Chief Minister has distributed nutritional food kits to women by participating in Teej program. On the occasion of Pola Tihar, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that today is the festival of Pola, in Chhattisgarh, even today Nandi is made of clay. They worship the bull and also make the bull run. The same girls play a game of complete chutia. We also play what is our traditional game. Traditional sweets are also made on this day. Today Lord Nandeshwar is worshiped. The bulls are worshiped. This is our traditional festival, it is being celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout Chhattisgarh.
