Raipur : In response to the intense heatwave currently affecting Chhattisgarh, Education Minister Brijmohan Agarwal has announced an extension of the summer holidays for all schools in the state. Both government and non-government schools will now remain closed until June 25, reopening on June 26.
This decision comes amidst rising temperatures causing significant discomfort across the state. The heatwave has led to widespread concerns, particularly among parents worried about their children's health and safety in such extreme conditions. The government received numerous requests from parents to extend the vacation period, prompting this protective measure.
Minister Agarwal emphasized that this extension aims to alleviate the issues faced by students due to the harsh weather. Official guidelines have been issued to ensure the smooth implementation of this decision.
