Here on Saturday, a Naxalite was killed in an encounter between DRG soldiers and Naxalites in Burkalanka area of Sukma. The soldiers have recovered the body of the Naxalite killed in the encounter.
Operations against Naxalites are being carried out continuously in Bastar division. In this sequence, DRG soldiers had gone on operation on Friday night. Meanwhile, DRG soldiers who were out on searching had an encounter with Naxalites.
This encounter took place in Burkalanka area. A Naxalite has been killed in this encounter. The body of the Naxalite killed in the encounter has been recovered. Searching continues in the area after the encounter. SP Kiran Chavan has confirmed this incident.
