Raipur: There is no situation of recession in the country, some people are just spreading rumors , claimed the Union Minister Thawarchand Gehlot  in Raipur on MONday. The union minister for Social Justice and Empowerment was here in Raipur as BJP across the country is taking press conferences to mark 100 days of the second term of the Modi government.

In the state capital Raipur, Union Minister Thawarchand Gehlot counted the achievements of the Modi government and  said that some important financial decisions have been taken like merging of nationalized banks.

“Government is worried about drug addiction, and we are taking measures to curb it”, said Gehlot

Regarding NRC, he said that whose citizenship is Indian, they will live in India, who does not belong to India , will have to leave from here. Describing that India’s economy is good he said “ We have climbed many more steps than before.”

However he admitted that the central government doesn’t has exact figures of unemployment. “ We do not have the exact figures of unemployment. People's job is not going away. People are being hired and are also becoming successful owners through Mudra scheme”.

“We have 100 percent implemented the recommendations of the Swaminathan Committee in the country. The income of the farmers will not be doubled only from the crop, there are many other things which will double the income,” he added.

On 82 percent reservation in Chhattisgarh, Union Minister Gehlot said that the state government can take a decision on reservation based on the population of its state. The Government of India has already clarified its intention and destiny in the matter of reservation and the government is in favor of reservation.

Our government was and will be in favor of reservation, he further said and started reading out the achievements of Modi government -2. The achievements listed by him were :-

1 - An unprecedented decision to bring Jammu and Kashmir into the mainstream, abolishing Article 370, 35A was taken. Due to which only one flag will remain in Jammu and Kashmir. Despite Pakistan’s oppose no other country raised a question on it.  

2 - Muslim women were upset due to triple talaq, so the government ended triple talaq.

3- Banks were merged to improve the country's economy so that the country's economic condition could be strengthened.

4- A ministry called Jal Shakti was formed so that adequate water arrangements can be made everywhere in the country.

5 - Motor vehicle act has been changed to ensure road safety.

6- Strict action has been taken against terrorism. Amendments have been made in the Act to prevent illegal activities so that any person named as a terrorist can be seized of his property.

7- Social justice was ensured for all sections of the society.

8- The goal of doubling the income of farmers was worked out. Under Kisan Dhan Yojana, there are several steps taken for farmers ranging from Rs 3 thousand monthly pension scheme.
