Raipur: BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi’s murder case was heard by the Special Judicial Inquiry Commission constituted in the case of killing of MLA Mandavi by Naxalites. The commission had summoned 11 people to test the statements of which 10 appeared today. Justice Satish K. Agnihotri  Chairman of the Special Judicial Inquiry Commission., after hearing Ojaswi Mandavi and Deputy Attorney General Rajnish Singh Baghel, decided to first record the statements of independent witnesses associated with the incident. After that the statements of police officers will be recorded.

Due to the non-preparation of the affidavits of the witnesses present at the hearing today, they were given time till October 31 to submit the affidavit on their request.  The next hearing of the commission will be held in Raipur on November 9.

Investigating officers Devansh Singh Rathore and witnesses Nandlal Mudami, Rakesh Nag, Manish Bhattacharya, Shravan Kadati, Dhanuram, Ajay Sinha, Shiladitya Singh, Sanjay Potam and Vijay Yadav attended the hearing on Saturday. Commission Chairman Justice Satish K. Agnihotri directed absentee witness Praveen Singh to issue summons again.
