Bilaspur: Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (J) leader Amit Jogi ultimately did not get bail in the fraud case he is said to be involved in. The judge rejected his bail plea. With this, Amit Jogi will have to spend time in jail right now.
Earlier, Janta Congress Chhattisgarh leader Amit Jogi, who was arrested on charges of forgery, was brought from the Pendra sub jail to the sessions court for hearing the bail plea. After the hearing, Magistrate Vinay Pradhan reserved his decision. While delivering the verdict after lunch, the magistrate, rejected the bail plea, wrote in his judgment that fake documents have been prepared for getting elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly on the sacred ground of democracy. In view of the seriousness of the crime, the bail petition has been dismissed.
During the hearing on the bail petition, Amit Jogi made his own plea. Advocate Pawan Tripathi presented his favor on behalf of the government. During the court hearing, Richa Jogi, wife of Amit Jogi, Lormi MLA Dharmajit Singh and legal advisor to Amit Jogi, Vishwambhar Gulhare besides supporters were present.
