Raipur: Special session was held today at  Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly which started at 11 am. Before that Governor Anusuiya Uikey, CM Bhupesh Baghel, Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant, , Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik, Ministers, MPs and MLAs garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. After paying floral tributes to the father of the nation , Padamshri Bharati Bandhu performed 'bhajan', on the occasion . The special session had been called to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. 
On the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also announced the launch of 5 new schemes in Chhattisgarh. Announcing before the House in the assembly, CM said that we are committed to the development of the state. Mahatma Gandhi dreamed of developing villages. The farmers also dreamed of prospering. Following their ideals, we announce to start different schemes to provide health, nutrition and better lifestyle to the poor and common people of the village. Mukhyamantri Suchitran Abhiyan, Mukhyamantri Haat Bazaar Clinic Scheme, Mukhyamantri Urban Slum Health Scheme, Chief Minister Ward Office and Universal PDS Scheme were launched today. Also, the CM committed to develop a Gandhi Bhavan in the state capital, where people can come and know their country ideals and their contribution in building the country.
