Raipur: On the occasion of Teachers Day, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has extended hearty wishes to all the teachers and people of the state. Chief Minister said in his message that that this day reminds us of the birth anniversary of great philosopher and Ex-President Sarvapalli Dr Radhakrishnan. Mr. Baghel said that late Dr Radhakrishnan was himself a genius, thinker and a professor. We should take pride in celebrating his birthday as Teachers Day. Chief Minister said that teachers play an important role in nation building and development of better human resources for the society.

Chief Minister said that many new innovative steps have been taken to improve quality of education in schools of the state. State Government is recruiting 15thousand regular teachers. In colleges also, nearly one thousand teachers are being recruited. He said that Chhattisgarh is the first state of the country to ensure compulsory education till 12th standard under Right to Education Act.
