Raipur : Labour Minister and Co-Chairman of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Lakhan Lal Dewangan took charge today at Nava Raipur Division Headquarters office. After assuming the charges, Dewangan launched the pension scheme for construction workers. This scheme will be implemented by the Labour Department of Chhattisgarh Government. Under this scheme, pension amount will be transferred into the bank accounts of the eligible construction workers.
Under the "Chief Minister Construction Workers Pension Aid Scheme" run by the Board, a pension of Rs 1500 per month will be provided to those registered construction workers who have completed 60 years of age. In case the pensioner construction worker passes away, there is a provision of monthly pension of Rs 750 for the dependent (husband/wife) of the construction worker.
Likwise, “Chief Minister Free Coaching Assistance Scheme for the Children of Construction Workers” was also inaugurated today. Under “Chief Minister Free Coaching Assistance Scheme for the Children of Construction Workers”, the construction workers or their dependent children are registered for the preparation of various competitive examinations conducted by Vyapam, PSC, Railway Recruitment Board, SSC etc. Both the schemes have been inaugurated with the aim of providing a better future to the construction workers and their children.
On this occasion, Secretary of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Savita Mishra, Additional Labour Commissioner,S.L. Jangade, Deputy Labour Commissioner, D.P. Tiwari, Deputy Labour Commissioner, S.S. Paikra, Deputy Director, Industrial Health and Safety ,Toshan Sahu, Senior Accounts Officer, Ramgopal Jaiswal, Korba Municipal Corporation Councilor,Narendra Dewangan, Prafull Tiwari, Narendra Patanwar and other officers and employees of Workers Welfare Board were present.
