Raipur: District Election Office Jagdalpur,  Bastar is through with the preparations for Chitrakoot Assembly by-election. Polling parties will leave for scheduled polling stations from Sunday morning on 20 October. Distribution of polling materials will be done at the Polytechnic College, Dharampura from 6.30 am. Electoral campaigning came to a halt from 5 pm on Saturday. Now the candidates will be able to campaign only door to door. Voting will be held on Monday 21 October from 8 am to 5 pm.

916 polling personnel deployed for by election

229 polling booths have been set up for Chitrakoot assembly by-election. Of these, 213 polling stations are located in Bastar district and 16 polling stations are located in Sukma district. 916 polling personnel have been deployed for these polling stations. These include the presiding officer as well as three more polling party officials. Micro Observers will also be deployed in 58 sensitive polling booths to ensure fair and free voting.

More than 1.5 lakh to vote

One lakh 67 thousand 911 voters will exercise their voting rights in Chitrakoot Assembly by-election. These include 79 thousand 284 male voters and 88 thousand 626 female voters as well as third gender voter.

More than 93 sensitive polling station

Of the 229 polling stations set up for Chitrakoot assembly by-election, there are 70 susceptible, 93 sensitive, 28 politically sensitive and 38 general polling stations.

Five sensitive polling station shifts

The five polling booths of Chitrakoot assembly by-election have been shifted to safer places due to being non-access and highly sensitive.

Eight Adarsh ​​Polling Stations created

Eight model polling stations have been set up for Chitrakoot Assembly by-election, these include Primary School Mardoom, Primary School Erikpal, Primary School Kodenar, High School Bade Kulpal, Primary School Karanji, Panchayat Bhawan Bedaguda, Panchayat Bhawan Alwa, Primary School Chhindwara.

Five congregation polling stations

Five congressional polling stations have been set up for the by-election, in which women polling personnel will vote. These include Government Girls Higher Secondary School Usaribeda, Primary School Badanji, Primary School Patelpara Bade Kilepal, Primary School Danga Akapara Dillamili and Primary School Roadpara Karanji. Apart from this, Room Number-2 of Primary School Potanar has been made a Divyang Polling Station. Here the entire polling process will be completed by Divyang Polling personnel.

Webcasting will be done in 22 polling stations

The Election Commission of India will directly monitor the polling process through webcasting at 22 polling stations during the by-election. Among the polling stations where webcasting will be done, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Usaribeda, Primary School Balerguda, Primary School Baler, Primary School Khalepara Takaraguda, Secondary School Badranji, Primary School Tikradhanora, Primary School Ghatdhanora, Secondary School Singanpur, Primary School Sonarpal, Secondary School Shala Deurgaon, New Primary School Chhapar Bhanpuri, Primary School Sahuka Rapara Sirisaguda, Primary School Tirathum, Primary School Kodinar, Former Secondary School Mavilibhata, Primary School Karanji, Primary School Khasapara Dimarapal, Primary School Telimarenga, Primary School Large Marenga Additional Room, Primary School Keshalur, Primary School Tokapala and Primary School Parapa.

Ban on sale of liquor from 5 pm on Saturday

In view of the polling to be held on Monday under the Chitrakoot Assembly by-election, all kinds of liquor shops have been closed from 5 pm on Saturday. Along with keeping the liquor shops closed till 5 pm on Monday evening, there will be a ban on storage and transportation.
