GPM : The district police has got a big success.  In which the police and cyber cell team have arrested two smugglers of the inter-state sandalwood smuggling gang.  The police have seized about one quintal of sandalwood trees, a pickup vehicle and goods worth about Rs 12 lakh from the accused. The police has started further proceedings in the case.  On which the district police has arrested two smugglers of the inter-state sandalwood smuggling gang while smuggling sandalwood.  Smugglers had cut sandalwood from Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district and were searching for customers in Gaurela Pendra Marwahi district of Chhattisgarh who could buy it at a higher price. As soon as information about the matter was received, the Gaurela police and cyber cell team of the district arrested the smugglers.  He was caught after foiling the plan.

The police had seized 90 kg of sandalwood from the accused smugglers, which was worth approximately Rs 7,20,000.  Also, a pickup vehicle from which the accused were smuggling sandalwood, whose serial number is CG 10 AY 7585, whose value is Rs. 04 lakh, total value is Rs. 11,20,000 has been recovered. In the whole case, the police have arrested two accused Jitendra Singh Sarathi father.  Bhanu Singh Sarathi, age 29 years, resident of Pondi Semrah Tola, Jaithari police station, Anuppur Hall, Mudatola Andhiyar Khoh, Motilal Yadav, father Jamuna Prasad Yadav, age 40 years, resident of Darri police station Gaurela, has been arrested. 

On receiving information from Gaurela Police and Cyber ​​Cell about the arrival of a pickup vehicle, the police set up a blockade near Tikarkala intersection, stopped the suspicious vehicle and checked it, in which sandalwood was recovered on three plastic sacks.  On interrogation of the accused, it was found that the said wood was stolen, cut and brought from near Bhelwa village of Anupur district of Madhya Pradesh and sold at a high price.  The tree being a protected species and there being no permit for the transportation of the said wood etc., the police seized the wood and the pickup and initiated further action against both the accused under Section 41(1-4)/379 CrPC.

 The police arrested the accused Jitendra Singh Sarathi, father Bhanu Singh Sarathi, age 29 years, resident of Pondi Semrah Tola, Jaithari police station, Anuppur Hall, place Mudatola Andhiyar Khoh, and Motilal Yadav, father Jamuna Prasad Yadav, age 40 years, resident of Darri police station Gaurela, in the sandalwood case.  Action has been taken.
