Korba : World’s first mobile rail hospital Life-Line Express is reaching Chattisgarh’s Korba tomorrow. The treatment in this mobile hospital will be completely free of cost to Korba residents. It will be staying on platform number one of Korba railway station from October 12 to November 2. Critical diseases like breast cancer, cervical cancer, oral cancer screening and treatment, as well as plastic surgery and dental diseases will be treated by specialist doctors of the seven well-equipped bogie running rail hospital.

The residents of Korba residents will also get free facilities for treatment in this railway hospital ranging from cataract, cleft lips, bone related disorders, burns to ear operations. In Lifeline Express, trained and expert doctors will also treat diseases like blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy.

Korba’s Collector Kiran Kaushal has instructed the Chief Medical and Health Officer of the district to make all the necessary preparations and extensive publicity to benefit the maximum number of health services provided through Lifeline Express. Free arrangements are also being made to bring patients from rural areas to Lifelife Express for treatment.

Voluntary organizations will also be taken help in this arrangement. Arrangements for breakfast, afternoon and dinner will also be made free to patients admitted during treatment and a family member accompanying them. Apart from this, canteens will also be installed for the availability of food and breakfast at discounted rates at the life line camp site.

There will be clean drinking water and special arrangements for cleanliness in the camp site, residential premises etc. Necessary arrangements are also being made by the Electricity Department to supply electricity to the Life Line Express in an emergency.

More than one hundred and fifty Scout Guides and NSS cadets will be assisted in the district. These cadets of various schools and colleges will be posted as volunteers.

Lifeline Express has arrived at Korba Railway Station for the second time after nearly 17 years. This train has 7 bogies, in which operation theaters have been set up in 2 bogies, in which five patients can be operated at the same time. Teams of 40 specialist doctors of the country will serve in Korba for the next 21 days for free medical facility starting from October 12 in the Life Line Express.
