The Defence Ministry issued a fresh statement on Friday on the closure of cantonment roads, reiterating most of what it had said in its previous orders. The statement left many in the Army wondering if their concerns had been ignored.
In the carefully worded statement, the Ministry said it had come to a decision after consultations with all stakeholders, including the Army chief.
