A man kissed Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on the cheek in Kerala during a visit to his constituency , Wayanad . A short video released by ANI shows Rahul, sitting in the passenger seat of his car and greeting people out of the car window.
A few seconds into the video, a man in a blue shirt is seen shaking hands with Rahul Gandhi before lunging in, hugging Rahul and planting a kiss on the former Congress president's cheek.
The man is then seen being pulled away by a person who is out of the video's frame. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi continues greeting and shaking hands with the people around his
Rahul Gandhi's visit to Wayanad was to monitor flood relief work in his constituency. Wayanad was hit by several landslides during this year's monsoon and Rahul Gandhi has been visiting flood relief camps and reviewing rehabilitation work in the region.
However, this is not the first time Rahul Gandhi has found himself the subject of some public affection.
In this year itself Rahul Gandhi was kissed on the cheek by a woman in Gujarat , during the campaigning phase of Lok Sabha Polls. Coincidentally it took place on February 14, Valentine's Day.
Prior to that in 2014 , Rahul Gandhi was kissed on the cheek by a man at a sweet mart in West Bengal that Gandhi visited after a political rally.
