Janta Congress Chhattisgarh's activists burnt effigy of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in protest against the cancellation of Kanwar caste certificate of party supremo Ajit Jogi. Ajit Jogi was deemed as non tribal by the investigation committee formed to investigate the caste of Ajit Jogi. Young activists of the Janata Congress burnt the effigy of Bhupesh Baghel at a dharna site in the capital's Budhapara, and then raised fierce slogans against Bhupesh Baghel. Before the effigy was burnt, there was a fierce jumble between policemen and activists. Checkout the video.
earlier today Kanwar tribal society of Pendra Zamidari's Jogisar area has said to expel the former chief minister from Kanwar society, as former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi was declared non-tribal by the Chhan Bean Committee.
Dhirpal Singh Kanwar, president of the Jogisar Kanwar Samaj told that, we have a meeting of the society today (Friday). The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the social point. He said that Ajit Jogi has not been found to be Kanwar tribal by Chhattisgarh Chhan Bean Committee and Hon'ble High Court.
The Kanwar Samaj has also banned members of its society from calling the former Chief Minister Jogi as a member of their family, for festivals like Nawakhai, Narnhawar or for marriage.
Meanwhile, amid reports of boycott, there is also news of Ajit Jogi arriving at Jogisar on a private function on Saturday. G.j. Amit Jogi, son of Supremo Ajit Jogi, has called the boycott by Kanwar Samaj fake.
