Janta Congress has also announced to contest in the Dantewada by-election by announcing the name of its candidate today. Sumit Karma Jogi will be the candidate from Janta Congress in Dantewada. Ajit Jogi announced the candidate's name in a press conference today.

Sumit Karma is a young engineer, while praising Sumit ,Ajit Jogi said that Dantewada today needs a young and educated candidate, for which he has chosen Sumit Karma as his candidate.

Jogi said that the BJP and Congress have fielded the wives of the martyr family… Mahendra Karma and Bhima Mandavi were both like younger brothers. Dantewada needs an educated young legislator in the critical condition of the situation there.

Congress has already announced the name of its candidate, while the BJP Election Committee has approved the name of Bhima Mandavi's wife Ojasvi Mandavi.
