Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the 108 Mahakundiya Yagya, Shri Shiv Mahapuran, and Sant Sammelan organised in the Chalan village (Chatarkhar) of Mungeli on Monday. He sought the blessing of the renowned Shiv Mahapuran Katha narrator, Shri Pradeep Mishra. He performed the Shiv Mahapuran Aarti and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the state. Chief Minister Shri Sai also announced conferring the title of Rajya Atithi (State Guest) on Shri Mishra.

Addressing the devotees, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that it is a matter of great fortune for the state that the 108 Mahakundiya Yagya, Shri Shiv Mahapuran, and Sant Sammelan are being organised in Mungeli district. He mentioned that a large number of devotees have gathered today to listen to Shiv Mahapuran Katha. He stated, “Chhattisgarh is the land of Mata Kaushalya, and Lord Shri Ram is our nephew. When the idol of Lord Shri Ram’s pran-pratistha was carried at the newly constructed Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, the people of Chhattisgarh celebrated this event with enthusiasm. Under the Shri Ramlalla Darshan Yojana, the Chhattisgarh Government will provide the facility to visit the Lord Shri Ramlalla temple in Ayodhya to the people of the state. A train will depart from Raipur to Ayodhya on March 5. The state’s people have trusted Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantee and elected our government in the state. Our government is making consistent efforts for the overall development of Chhattisgarh”.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said, "Today, it is a matter of great fortune for all of us that such a grand event is taking place in the land of Mungeli. A large number of people have gathered here in reverence to Lord Bholenath, making it feel like the beginning of Mahashivaratri”.

Mungeli MLA Shri Punnu Lal Mohle stated that devotion leads to happiness, peace, and prosperity in life. Renowned saints from across the country, including Sadhvi Ritambara Ji, Rajeev Lochan Das Ji Maharaj, Sadhvi Pushpanjali Ji, and Shailleshanand Ji Maharaj, participated in the Sant Sammelan. Minister of Sports Shri Tankaram Verma, Divisional Commissioner Smt Shikha Rajput Tiwari, Collector Shri Rahul Deo, SP Shri Girija Shankar Jaiswal, and a large number of devotees were present.
