Raipur: Alok Shukla, an IAS officer accused in the NAN scam case, has got a big relief from the High Court. The High Court, hearing the application of Alok Shukla, has granted him anticipatory bail. Earlier in April, the court gave relief to another IAS officer Anil Tuteja too and granted him anticipatory bail.
Let us tell you that on 12 February 2015, the Anti Corruption Bureau and the Economic Offenses Investigation Branch had raided 28 places of the Civil Supplies Corporation and recovered crores of rupees. A case was registered against 27 people in this matter. The state government wrote a letter to the Center to prosecute IAS officer Dr. Alok Shukla and then NAN's MD Anil Tuteja. On 4 July 2016, the Centre gave permission for prosecution, despite that state government did not take any action. After about two and a half years before the election, the state government had included the names of both the IAS officers while presenting the supplementary challan
