Bilaspur: The High Court has granted stay on the transfer of Dr. KR Sonwani, who resigned to contest the state assembly elections. However he did not get tickets.
After not getting the ticket, Sonwani withdrew his resignation and rejoined the job. But, he was not coming on duty, so the state government removed him and made Dr. Meera Baghel as CMHO on 26 September. Sonwani was given the responsibility of orthopedic specialist at District Hospital Raipur. Sonwani filed a petition in the High Court against this. The High Court has granted a stay on his removal from the CHMO. Hence he would remain the Chief Health and Medical Officer of Raipur.
