Raipur: Returning from the wedding ceremony, an eunuch (kinnar) was surrounded by three miscreants on Thursday night . Unidentified attackers severely injured eunuch Pramod Kaushal by stabbing him with a knife at Jawahar Chowk in Moudhapara area of the capital.
Pramod has been admitted to Ambedkar Hospital in critical condition. Police is searching for miscreants. There is wrath in the ‘Kinnar’ community after this incident. Condemning the incident, an immediate arrest of the accused has been demanded by the community.
According to the police, the incident took place on October 10 at around 5 pm. Pramod Kaushal was returning from a wedding ceremony. Meanwhile, Anil Keshari, a guard at Jawahar Nagar, saw him bleeding and informed the ambulance services.
In his statement to the police, Anil has said that he was sitting outside a show-room while on duty. Just then a person came and fell on the road right in front of him, soaked in blood. After picking him up and asking his name, and his whereabouts, Anil got the information that Pramod Kaushal son of Roshan Kaushal, age 35 is a resident of Khursipar, Bhilai. He told the guard that he had come to Raipur for some function and in Jawaharnagar, an unknown person abused him verbally while also threatened to kill him and stabbed him in stomach with a sharp knife causing serious injuries.
Pramod Kaushal was sent to Mekahara Hospital in 108 where his condition remains critical. Police is investigating the case and have registered a crime under sections 294, 324, 506B. Unknown rogues are being searched.
