Raipur : Former CM and the founder of Janta Congress Ajit Jogi has lashed out on Cabinet Minister TS Singhdev for calling his father a satanami. Ajit Jogi has written to Singhdev and said that my father and ancestors were tribals of Kanwar caste of Mudhi gotra. There is no mention of my father being Satnami. In the present scenario, Jogi has asked Singhdev to accept his mistake and refute his statement. Ajit Jogi has said that his family and personal relationship with Singhdev is good, so he wants him to refute his talk. If Singhdev does not accepts this , then Jogi has declared to file a contempt case in court against the minister. The letter written by Jogi to Singhdev is the following :-
Dear Mr. Singhdev,
I am writing this letter with great sorrow and wonder. Through Newspapers and T.V. , I have come to know that you have made a statement saying my father was from Satnami caste. In fact, my father and ancestors were tribals of Kanwar caste of Mudhi gotra. There is no mention of my father being a Satnami anywhere in any document. This is not mentioned in any land records nor in the evidence before the present investigation committee. You seem to have said so based on unbridled rumors. I have a good family and personal relationship with you, so I would like you to accept it and deny it.
If this does not happen, I should go to the in court to protect my honour despite our good family and personal relationships. A contempt case has to be filed under Sections 497 and 500, which provides for a jail sentence. I will take this action only after a week.
