Dantewada : In Tumakpal area of Kotekalyan police station, an huge encounter took place today between DRG personnel and Naxalites. One naxalite has been killed while others are said to be injured in the encounter. Later on seeing the soldiers getting injured one by one the Naxalites left the encounter spot and escaped in the forest.
At the same time, Assistant Constable Kailash Netam has died due to a heart attack during the Naxalite encounter. Additional police force has been dispatched to the scene of the encounter. This entire operation had been carried out under the leadership of Additional SP Suraj Singh Parihar.
As per the sources about 30 to 35 Naxalites were plotting to thwart Chitrakot by-election. ASP Suraj Singh Parihar was leading the DRG team from Dantewada. More than 100 soldiers raided the forests of Kunna Dabba. There was continuous firing from both sides. After the encounter, the force is bringing weapons and luggage found to Dantewada.
