Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has expressed confidence of repeating victory in Chitrakoot by elections after Dantewada elections. He added saying that Congress will also receive clear victory in the upcoming elections at Haryana and Maharashtra.
Talking to the media at the helipad before leaving forelection campaigning in Chitrakoot, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the government is continuously working for the tribals, thats why Congress won in Dantewada. “Now we will win in Chitrakoot by-election as well”, he said. Polling is to be held in Chitrakoot constituency on October 21. On October 19, that is today the campaigning will stop at 5 pm.
SIx candidates are contesting in the by-election. Among the candidates, Rajman Benzam of Congress, Lachhuram Kashyap of BJP, Bomdaram Mandavi of Janata Congress Chhattisgarh, Independent candidate Ritika Karma, Hidmoram Mandavi of Communist Party of India, Lakeshwar Kawasi of Ambedkarite Party of India are trying their hand in electoral arena.
